place) located in Duval County, FL on a barrier island between the
Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Once a part of
Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach maintains a high quality of life and
features one of the best surfing sports in the area. Other favorite
recreational activities include swimming, diving, snorkeling, horseback
riding, hiking, biking, fishing and golf. Nearby cities include
Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
