Tavares is a city (incorporated place) located between Lake Dora and Lake Eustis in Lake County, FL and is the county seat. Tavares is the Spanish word for "Hub". Tavares is a charming town nested in gently rolling hills and lakes. Nature activities in the area include visits to the Trout Lake Nature Center, Fiddler's Green Ranch, the Amazing Exotics Education Center and Uncle Donald's Farm.
