Seminole County

Seminole County is located in Central Florida north of Orlando bordering Orange, Volusia and Lake Counties. 

Seminole County was established from Orange County in 1913 and named for the Seminole Indians. Seminole is thought to be derived from the Spanish cimarron, meaning "wild" or "runaway."

Aerosim Flight Academy is a flight school located in Sanford at the Orlando Sanford International Airport to train pilots. It was originally Delta Connection Academy, but now graduates go on to work for many different airlines.

The Altamonte Springs City Library is in Seminole County but it is not part of the official Seminole County library system. It has been operated by the city since 1960.

City College is a Florida college with locations in Altamonte Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, Hollywood, and Miami. It offers associates and bachelors degrees in the fields of business, heath, and legal/justice.

For families homeschooling students age 11 to 18 and living in Central Florida, this teen only group includes activities, field trips, etc. will be geared toward the middle to high school level/age group.

As a Christian homeschool group, we desire to help families grow in maturity in Christ, and more specifically, to assist families whom God has called to teach their children at home and do so in a manner which honors God.
