Florida Ocean Studies: Mystery & Legend
Bermuda Triangle
The triangular-shaped area in the Atlantic Ocean that extends from the southern Florida
coastline to Bermuda to Puerto Rico is commonly known as the Bermuda Triangle. There have
been numerous "mysterious" occurrences in this region, including disappearances
of both ships and aircraft and bizarre compass malfunctions. There are many theories out
there attempting to explain this phenomenon, from the scientific to the unlikely. Are
there really a disproportionate
