The Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary is a non-profit animal rescue that tends to a wide variety of exotic animals. Guests are able to view lions, ligers, bears, and more at the rescue. 

Big Cat Rescue, situated on 67 acres in the Citrus Park area of north Tampa, is one of the world’s largest accredited sanctuaries for exotic cats, and a leading advocate in ending the abuse of captive big cats and saving wild cats from extinction. We are home to lions, tigers, bobcats, cougars, servals and other species most of whom have been abandoned, abused, orphaned, saved from being turned into fur coats, or retired from performing acts.

The C.A.R.E. Foundation is a refuge for over 200 assorted exotic animals and wildlife. Within their care are bears, large cats, reptiles, monkeys, birds, and more. They provide wildlife education and animal rescue.

The Key West Wildlife Center is a rescue center for the local wildlife of the keys. They rescue over 1400 wild birds each year in addition to a number of turtles, tortoises, and marine and land mammals. You can visit year round to learn about the work they do and to walk the nature trail where you can see animals in their natural habitat.
