A combination community and art center, Mount Dora Center for the Arts works to encourage an understanding and appreciation of art and culture through various art exhibits of original art, educational programs, outreach programs, and an arts festival. The Center offers classes in photography, ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, and various kid's summer camps. You can also volunteer for several different positions throughout the year in order to help support the classes, camps, and exhibitions.
One of the big things the Center puts on each year is the Mount Dora Arts Festival. Held on the first weekend of February each year, the festival brings in artists from across America to exhibit and sell their art while offering visitors entertainment, food, and shopping. Going strong for over 45 years, the Arts Festival is a must-do for Mount Dora natives and tourists alike!
