Walton County Public School District is committed to academic excellence among its students and holds high expectations for all students and staff in order to meet this goal. As a result of these expectations, the district is among the top performing school districts in the state. This is evident by Walton County School District maintaining the State Board of Education’s Academically High Performing School District designation for seven consecutive years. The school district presides over 20 different schools ranging from pre-K to twelfth grade.

Walton County VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) offers an early start for children who are 4 years old on or before September 1st of the current school year. 

Walton County Virtual School is an option for both homeschoolers and all students enrolled in public school to take additional classes online.
