Opened in 1959, Busch Gardens is one of the oldest running theme parks in Florida. Formerly titled Busch Gardens Africa, the park is themed in a 18th century African style. Part wildlife sanctuary and part theme park, Busch Gardens is currently accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The park hosted 4.2 million people in 2015, placing 11th as the most-visited theme parks in the United States. It has 10 unique areas with distinct themes and animals. The newest roller coaster launched in June of 2016. It is called Cobra’s Curse and is a Mack steel spinning coaster that replaced Tut's Tomb. The Busch Gardens Parks are owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment.
