At this year’s Halloween Horror nights, there is much more than scares.

Try some seasonal treats, food, and even drinks - alcoholic and sweet to share with your group. Portions are double the size during this season of Halloween Horror Nights

Triple decker waffle

From The Triple-Decker Waffle, which includes chocolate sauce, whipped cream, Jelly Beans, and Reese’s Pieces, to fried waffle batter dipped in chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, Halloween Horror Nights has some really great treats. This year, many of Universal's sweets are themed after Stranger Things and have added colored candy on top of already impressive desserts. A great treat to try is the Christmas light Cupcakes with frosting and colored candy on top. To find some of these themed desserts, head on over to the San Francisco Pastry Company. Another good dessert is the waffle batter dipped in chocolate on a stick! You even get to pick if you want it with rainbow sprinkles or peanuts. And donut forget the 11 Mini Donuts that come either powdered or cinnamon with drizzles of red frosting on top (to portray Eleven’s frequent nosebleeds).
Do you think this would be a good way to contact Will from the Upside Down?

Another great food item available is the Pizza Fries. They are also very well-known and only available during Halloween Horror Nights. With a mix of french fries, pizza sauce, and spices topped with pepperoni, sausage, and cheese, this is the item that everyone who goes to the event is dying to try. You can find these Pizza Fries either at Louie's Italian Restaurant and near the Trick 'r Treat and Seeds of Extinction haunted houses. Some other food choices that you can find around the park are the Twisted Tater - with choice of salt and vinegar, sour cream and chive, garlic, Parmesan, or seasonal salt. And even if it sounds completely basic, you can’t forget the Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza option that ties in Stranger Things is the pizza that Dustin offers Nancy in the first season.

The specialty drinks are another amazing part of every Halloween Horror Nights experience. This year’s mixed drinks are the Wicked Rad Punch with has blueberry vodka, raspberry vodka, triple sec, lemonade, and grenadine and the Totally L.I.T which is also known as the Long Island Iced Tea. Or you can try them both for a mix called the Gnarly Twist, which is a sweet and sour combo. These drinks can be found anywhere in the park's drink tents, and the price for them at $12.99 for your first and $8.99 for refills. This includes the 20 ounce themed souvenir cup.

In every drink tent there will also be an assortment of beer and wine, with prices starting at $7.99. These also can come with a 20 oz souvenir cup starting at $10.49 with refills from $6.99. Since last year, Universal decided to limit the areas where mixed drinks can be bought, so the locations for those will be at Finnegan’s Bar and Grill, Lombard’s Seafood Grille which is fairly new, and Chez Alcatraz which is right next to the Jaws photo op.

Some other drinks to try around the park are Waffles and Syrup, which has a mixture of flavors with mini waffles on top, and the Candy Corn, which has toasted marshmallow on the bottom, traditional candy corn flavor in the middle, and whipped cream and sprinkles on top. These drinks can be found near the Stranger Things house, near the sound stage that is right outside the Monster’s Cafe in a little concession stand booth.
