Lake Hampton

Bradford County has all the boating, parklife, and wildlife areas to make scheduling that nature outing a literal breeze. Youth football and cheerleading programs are also a great way for your kids to get outside. Come check out what this great Florida County has to offer.

Youth Football

The Bradford County Cowboys host five divisions of youth football, from ages 5-14. Depending on the weight category your child is in, they may qualify for a number of leagues, regardless of age. The Cowboys host Cheerleading programs as well.

Boating

There are a number of locations to go boating in Bradford County. Hampton Lake, Sampson and Rowell Lake, Little Lake Sante Fe, and Santa Fe Lake are all beautiful locations to hit the water. These five publicly accessible lakes give all the options you need for a day in the sun and among the waves.

Parks

Come check out three great parks for some outdoor fun. Speedville Park, Pleasant Grove Park, Thomas Street Recreational Facility, and Lincoln City Park are all great options for a getaway in the outdoors.

Wildlife Management Areas

The Santa Fe Swamp Wildlife Management Area is 7,272 acres and features horseback riding, fishing, wildlife viewing, biking, and hiking year round. Hunting is also a big draw. White-tailed deer, feral hog, turkey, grey squirrel, and eastern cottontail rabbit hunting is permitted on site with primitive weapons only (bow and arrow and muzzleloader). Raiford Wildlife Management Area has 9,141 acres of land and lies along the New River in the northwest corner of the county. New River is a prime feature of the RWMA, as it also flows directly through its center. The Olustee Creek which branches of the New River flows through the areas eastern portion. Hunting here is also permitted in the portions of management area that are open to the public. Wildlife found on site include wild turkey, gopher tortoise, red-tailed hawk, raccoon, eastern cottontail-rabbit, and gray squirrel. Come check out this beautiful piece of natural Florida.
