City of Eustis, Florida

Eustis is a city in Lake County, Florida. Before Eustis got its current name it was known as Highlands, then Pendryville. It later was named after Abraham Eustis, who fought in the Seminole Wars and became a prominent figure in the area. Today, Eustis is a popular destination for vacationers and snowbirds alike. The city holds its annual GeorgeFest, which is a festival in commemoration of George Washington.

The Eustis Memorial Library has been an independent library in Eustis for over 100 years.

The State Theatre is a historic theater in Eustis which first opened in 1916 to show motion pictures. Today it is owned by the Bay Street Players, who turned the old movie theater into a thriving performing arts venue in the 1970s.
