Florida is the state that gets hit most by storms and hurricanes. This is due in large part to Florida location. Located near tropics and along the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, Florida is vulnerable to subtropical cyclones formed in ocean.

Florida (Atlantic) Hurricane Season: June 1 to November 30

Peak Months for hurricanes are August, September and October
