The second half of Broken Cauldron, Black Cauldron Brewing was started by a husband and wife back in 2014 after realizing they were creating beers that people really loved. Jeanna Malines, co-owner, explains how her and her husband started off in a homebrew club where they were able to meet other talented brewers and enter their craft beers into competitions. After winning quite a few medals, they felt it was time to take things to the next level.
Black Cauldron Brewing functions alongside Broken Strings Brewery under the same (and rather large) taproom called Broken Cauldron Brewing. The unique partnership came about in order to facilitate the start of both their journeys and in the end, they developed a place where they serve assorted types of beers everyone can enjoy. Both Breweries work and plan together their creations so there are always unique beers on the menu. Malines says a little overlap is normal but Black Cauldron specializes in stouts, ambers, Belgians, Saison, sours, and barely wines and focuses on malt forward beers.
Work Hard, Play Hard
Located just a few blocks from the Orlando City Soccer Stadium, Black Cauldron Brewing is the perfect location for game day festivities. Malines and her husband are fans and season ticket holders since 2011, so it was important to them to be close to the stadium to share their love for the game with customers. On game day, they sell out the parking lot and green space behind the brewery for tailgates. The love for the game is so real that they are part of The Ruckus, the older and largest Supporters Groups, who tailgate with them to march to the stadium from the brewery. Fans and customers enjoy their favorite beers, which happen to be Ruckus Red Amber Ale and Bleed Purple Blackberry Saison, while waiting for the game to start but distribution is limited so get there early!
