Smoked Food on the Go
Holy Smoked got started cooking with friends and family. The owner was a fisherman who loved to cook his catch, but didn’t want to have a deep fryer in the backyard. Captain John Vitella and his wife started the food truck in 2013 and recently started catering parties. Everything that they offer is smoked - even their desserts. This even includes smoked whipped cream! On their food truck, Holy Smoked has their own recipes for their smoked fish dip that includes Mahi-Mahi. One of the things that Vitella and his company enjoys is interacting with guests at the parties they cater.
In the future, Holy Smoked plans to build their catering business and get a support truck for bigger events. One of the more known food items that they create is the Brisket Tacos and the Southwestern Smoked Chicken Tacos which includes pineapple slaw, a piece of cheese, and lime on the side. To Holy Smoked, one of the most important things are the customers! Without them, they wouldn’t be able to do what they love. Since it is a family business, they like to do bigger events such as parties, birthdays, and corporate events. Holy Smoked is focusing more on the catering side of their business, but they enjoy cooking for all of their customers.
