Miami is a city of everything. It’s fast-paced big business and laid-back beaches, loud nightclubs and quiet museums all rolled into one. This is a city where people work hard and play even harder. The metro area of Miami is the eighth most populous metro area in the country and the most populous in Florida.

More than anything else, Miami is an international city. It has an incredibly diverse population, but the majority of its citizens are from Latin American countries, primarily Cuba. This has lead to many world renowned Latin American and Caribbean restaurants cooking in the style that has now become known as “Floribbean”.

Downtown Miami is a thriving business center with the largest concentration of international banks in the country. It has the second largest performing arts center in the country, more museums and theaters than any other Florida city, a flourishing fashion industry, and a sports team in every major league. Whatever your dreams are you can make them a reality in Miami.

The American Airlines Arena is located on the waterfront in downtown Miami, Florida. It is home to the Miami Heat NBA basketball team and hosts large concerts and events.

FIU Stadium is a college stadium home to Florida International University's Panthers football team. Located in Miami, Florida, and informally known as The Cage, the stadium has a seating capacity of 20,000. Also home to Miami FC soccer team and other events.

The only water park within the City of Miami, offering four pools, two slide pools, one for toddlers, one for older children and adults, a recreation pool and a lazy river, all ages can come and cool off in the summer months. 

Marlins Park is a baseball park, home of the Miami Marlins, located in Miami, Florida. The stadium is a contemporary architecture featuring an abstract design, a retractable roof, Miami Deco Art, Fish Tanks, Swimming Pool, Nightclub and a true South Beach atmosphere. Built where the old Orange Bowl use to be, the stadium has taken a Green approach to be environmentally friendly. 

Marlins Park

The Miami Dolphins joined the NFL during the merger. They had one of the greatest players of all time and hold a special place in the hearts of the Miami faithful.

The Miami Heat were founded in 1988, a year before the Orlando Magic. Since their inaugural season they have ingratiated themselves into the Miami culture with their fan involvement and winning ways.

The Miami Marlins are a franchise that has experienced their highs and lows. They have been able to win a few championships and have a brand new state of the art stadium.

There’s a lot to do here at the Miami Seaquarium. While you can swim with the dolphins for 30 minutes, there are also touch pools, where visitors can put their hands into the water to touch the bamboo sharks, cleaner fish, and invertebrates. It’s awesome being able to touch the animals and feel them kiss your fingers.

The Barnacle Historic State Park is a house that was built in 1891, which dates back to the times when the way to and from Miami was by boat. The house is located on the shore of Biscayne Bay, and it was home to a man named Ralph Middleton Munroe, who preserved the forest on the land. A visit to this park consists of a tour around the historic property, picnics on the lawn, setting up hammocks, walking one's dog, or just relaxing on the estate and watching the boats sail by. 


The Coast Guard 7th District headquarters is located in downtown Miami, Florida. Per their official website, it is “responsible for Coast Guard activities throughout a 1.7 million square mile area including Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and 34 foreign nations and territories.”
