Windsor, Florida (Alachua County)

Windsor is a small community in Alachua County most known for its annual Zucchini Festival every May. First settled in 1846 by English cotton planters, the area grew and was established with a post office and businesses. After some severe freezes in the late 1800's, the population began to decline and the post office closed in 1936.
