Florida Musicians & Bands

Florida is home to lots of musicians and bands. Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Gainesville, and many other Florida cities have a thriving music scene and a community of musicians who live there. If you are looking to see some of these local musicians perform there are venues all across the state that host events to showcase this talent. We also have many resources to help you find a musician to hire for your next event.

The Central Florida Community Band, a sub-organization of the Orlando VFW, has been performing for over 25 years for veterans and the Central Florida community. They perform between 12 and 15 concerts each year and perform for events like the Memorial Day Ceremony, the Veteran's Day Parade, Christmas concerts, and other community events. They're always looking for new members to join--you don't have to be a veteran and there's no audition or fee required to join.

Check out their website to see the schedule of upcoming events and concerts and to find further audition information. Follow their Facebook page for updates as well.

The Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Band (CFSF Band) has been performing around Orlando and Central Florida since 2011 and is dedicated to raising awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community, acceptance, and equality through the performing arts. They perform throughout the year in parades, concerts, and ensembles and are a combination of marching band and color guard team.

The group is all volunteer and doesn't require an audition or previous marching experience to join, but rehearsals are mandatory for those interested. Check out their website for more information or to join! The band is a non-profit organization and accepts donations and sponsorships for support. Follow their Facebook page to see previous shows and stay up-to-date on the latest information from the CFSF Band.

The Lake Concert Band is a non-profit organization founded in 1989. The band started with 12 members and has grown to its current size of over 70 volunteer musicians, performing at numerous concerts, events, and parades since its founding. Musicians range in age from high school to senior citizens and the band is open to anyone who is able to read music, owns their own instrument, and passes an informal evaluation by the band's director.

The Lake Concert Band has a mission of providing a quality musical experience to the community and performs throughout the year, including holidays. The band performs all over Central Florida and plays a variety of music including Latin, classical, big band, Broadway, and more. To see where they're playing next follow their Facebook page. PAM offers groups for people of all ages, such as the Maitland Youth Community Choir for younger performers and the Creative Arts for Life for older adults that still want to contribute to their community.
