Florida colleges as well as K-12 schools typically distribute their own newspapers to update the surrounding community on the happenings of their school. Many readers look to school newspapers to find further information about the a school’s academics, athletic programs, and extracurricular activities.

Eagle News, the student media group at Florida Gulf Coast University, represents the diverse voices on campus with fairness. Members are committed to reporting with accuracy and truth encouraging conversations about issues that concern the on-campus community.

Embry-Riddle's Avion Newspaper is the source for news on campus and in the aviation and aerospace industry. Lead entirely by students, for students, The Avion covers all major events on the ERAU campus and in the Florida area including rocket launches and air shows.

FIU Student Media is the student media department of the Florida International University in Miami, FL. It combines the newspaper, The Beacon, which edited and produced by undergraduate students at FIU and is published Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays.

The Famuan is the voice of the students of Florida A&M University promoting intelligent examination of issues, the presentation of factual information and comment, each in its own place in the publication. 

The Miami Hurricane is the student newspaper of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. The newspaper is edited and produced by undergraduate students at UM and is published weekly on Thursdays during the regular academic year.

The Minaret covers pertinent issues and all aspects of student life at the University of Tampa. The mission of The Minaret student newspaper is to promote accurate, thoroughly reported, high-quality, unbiased, and thought-provoking content. 

The Oracle publishes two days a week -- Monday and Thursday -- during the fall and spring semesters, and once a week, Wednesday, in the summer. Circulation is 8,000. The paper has earned numerous awards for excellence in journalism. 

The Voyager is the independent, student-run newspaper and the voice of University of West Florida students, faculty and staff. The Voyager is published each week online, and once each semester in print. Each issue highlights news, arts and sports stories, as well as opinion columns, that focus primarily on UWF and the Pensacola area.

The University Press is the student publication for Florida Atlantic University that circulates to more than 30,000 students across 3 campuses.
