You won’t see many salamanders around Florida, unlike the lizards, which you see everywhere! Salamanders are better at hiding and most often stay in moist habitats including swamps, lakes, rivers, streams, and other areas prone to keep a pool of water. But don’t let their lack of appearance fool you, there are plenty of salamanders all around the state.
