St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park is a barrier island that is only accessible by boat. Visitors enjoy the boardwalk that takes them through the mangrove forests and hammocks of live oaks, cabbage palms, paradise trees, and wild limes. One can find animals such as loggerheads, leatherback, and green turtles.
