Celebration, Florida

In the early 1990s, the Disney Development Company, or DDC, established the Celebration Company to spearhead development within approximately 4,900 acres, with an project estimation of $2.5 billion. The Celebration community has a distinct early 20th century architectural style and is not zoned for high-density residences. Although some have criticized it for being “too perfect,” the intent was to celebrate Walt Disney’s idea of an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (an idea also translated into the EPCOT park). It is home to many Disney loving families and, of course, plenty of celebrations.
