The city seceded from Pompano Beach in the 1960s. It is nicknamed Butterfly Capital of the World, because it is home to Butterfly World, the world’s largest butterfly aviary. The aviary houses over 5,000 butterflies in over 80 species.
Butterfly World is located in Tradewinds Park, Coconut Creek, Florida, the first and largest butterfly house in the US, featuring over 80 species of butterflies, hummingbird and lorikeet aviaries, and outdoor gardens.
We are a small school nestled in the quiet residential community of Centura Parc in northwest Broward County. Our school complex is comprised of two facilities: The Lower School - for children 1 to 5 years old and The Upper School - for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
