City of Lake Alfred, Florida

Lake Alfred is a city in Polk County, Florida. Before being named Lake Alfred, the City was called Fargo. It was initially named Fargo by snowbirds escaping the cold of Fargo, North Dakota. After a series of mix-ups with the City of Largo, officials renamed Fargo to Lake Alfred. Today, friendly neighborhoods, scenic lakes, recreation centers, and parks are a part of the community.
