Lakeside, Florida

Lakeside is an area in Clay County, FL. It is part of the greater Orange Park area. Lakeside is best known for once being home to the Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center, a top regional center for primate research. As of 1966, the Center was abandoned and then purchased by Marvin Wilhite, who renamed the buildings the Foxwood Center. Now Lakeside serves as a mostly residential community where nature’s finest is a bound.
