City of Layton, Florida

Layton is a city on the island of Long Key in Monroe County, Florida. When Layton first started out it was a coconut plantation. However, by 1910, Layton had become famous as a fishing destination. Even to this day Layton remains a place where fishers and visitors alike can take part in various water-activities.

Long Key State Park is a beautiful park that has campfire circles, campgrounds, a shower station, and more on site. Visitors can go camping, fishing, hiking, star gazing, snorkeling, and more.
