City of Live Oak, Florida

Live Oak is a town in Suwannee County, Florida. Even though Live Oak is a small town with a quiet atmosphere, there are many interesting places to visit, such as nature trails, parks, and the southern style shopping centers and restaurants of the downtown historic district.

Suwannee River State Park is a historic site, known today for its ghost town ruins and the remnants of a 19th-century steamship that are lost in time in this great hiking destination at the junction of the Suwannee and Withlacoochee Rivers. The park is a great place to host weddings or parties and has five vacation cabins available for rent. They also have a full facility campground, allowing all levels of accommodations from tents to RVs. Boating, paddling, fishing, and hiking are great activities at this historic park.

Located between Tallahassee and Gainesville, Wes Skiles Peacock Springs is a hidden gem. Its name honors an adventurous outdoor enthusiast who worked to keep this area pristine. Like most springs, there's swimming, snorkeling, picnic tables, grills, manatees, and gators. In addition to those lovely features, this park remains incredibly different than other Florida springs.
