Village of Miami Shores, Florida

Miami Shores is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Miami Shores was originally a neighborhood of the City of Miami when it was annexed into the city of Miami in 1925. Miami Shores contains historic public library that was founded in 1949. The library continues to thrive today and is considered the central cultural and educational hub of the Village of Miami Shores.

Barry University is a Private University in Miami Shores. It has a Catholic foundation and began as a woman's university, but today students of all faiths, genders, and backgrounds are welcome. It has more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs in many different fields and serves over 7,000 students, making it one of the largest private colleges in Florida.

The Brockway Memorial Library is an independent public library in Miami Shores. Library cards are free for Miami Shores residents and are available for purchase for non-residents.
