Navarre is a mainland community in Santa Rosa County, Florida. Many U.S. Military personnel, Federal Civil Servants, and retirees from all walks of life reside here, hence why Navarre is referred to as a bedroom community. Due to its proximity to Navarre Beach and its four miles of beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico as well as the Gulf Islands National Seashore, it has a small, but growing community of nature enthusiasts and tourists. Residents and visitors enjoy many of the numerous natural trails located in Navarre.

The Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center (NBSTCC) is working to conserve and protect threatened and endangered sea turtles through community education and partnered research. The vision is to impress upon the community the importance of sea turtle conservation through education and hands on learning experiences. They believe that this will make a global difference in preserving sea turtles for future generations. 

This center located on Navarre Beach, just as you cross the bridge inside the Navarre Marine Park. They operate year round with limited hours in the winter season. The conservation and education center is open to the public with a main pool exhibit featuring a sea turtle who is unable to be re-released back to the ocean. The center also offers interactive exhibits, jellyfish aquarium, shark tooth treasure hunts, and more. It's a fun day to explore and learn about Florida's treasured marine life.
