North Miami Beach is a city north of Miami Beach. It is located between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Its central location as well as its easy access to three highways have earned it the title of the “Crossroads of South Florida”. NMB, as it is often called, was originally named Fulford after William H. Fulford, a captain in the Coast Guard. There is no shortage of activities in NMB with its numerous dazzling beaches, famous shopping strips, and historical landmarks, but if you do get bored other South Florida cities are just a short drive away.
