City of North Miami Beach, Florida

North Miami Beach is a city north of Miami Beach. It is located between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Its central location as well as its easy access to three highways have earned it the title of the “Crossroads of South Florida”. NMB, as it is often called, was originally named Fulford after William H. Fulford, a captain in the Coast Guard. There is no shortage of activities in NMB with its numerous dazzling beaches, famous shopping strips, and historical landmarks, but if you do get bored other South Florida cities are just a short drive away.

Oleta River State Park is located in 30 minutes from Downtown Miami. It is Florida's largest urban park, here you can enjoy a great deal of activities, there's something for everyone. Oleta River State Park has over 10 miles of mountain bike trails for those who are at an intermediate level. Other activities that Oleta River State Park offers include camping, paddling, fishing, hiking, picnicking, and swimming. Some of the amenities include cabins, beach, gardens, and picnic pavilions.
