Voted one of #100 in CNN Money Magazine's 100 Best Places to Live 2009, Oviedo is arguable the most charming city in Central Florida. One of its most charming quirks is the chicken population that wanders around the downtown area.The downtown area contains many of the same buildings today that were constructed between the end of the 19th and early 20th century. The Historic Downtown area also includes several houses listed in the National Register of Historic Places and a collection of murals.

NSA Orlando Patrick AFB is a U.S, Navy training center in Orlando, Florida. It is home to the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD). It’s official website states that “NAWCTSD Orlando is the Navy’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies. The Center provides training systems development for a wide spectrum of military programs, including aircraft, surface ships, submarines and other specialized requirements.”

407 Cafe offers a variety of selections both sweet and savory. Fresh baked croissants, bagels, and breads daily. Paninis, soups, and salads. Sweet and Savory Crepes and Belgian Waffles. Arcadia Kid's Fun Museum is a hands-on interactive learning experience for children located right inside the Oviedo Mall. It has an indoor playground and ball pit as well as eight different interactive exhibits. Kids can play in exhibits like the diner, pet vet office, grocery store, and more. Black Hammock Airboat Rides offers different airboat rides for guests to view the wildlife and scenery of Florida. There are different packages available to guests. One of the most unique packages is called the "Ride and Sip"; guests ride on the airboat and receive a free gator cup and drink from the Lazy Gator Bar. 

Bolay is a fast-dining restaurant but not fast food. The ingredients are brought in fresh daily to help bring you the fuel you need to power through your day. Formerly known as The Winey Wench and located in the Oviedo Mall is Calliope Street, a fun shop that offers canvas and wine painting classes. Classes are approximately two hours long, and you are encouraged to pack your own little picnic or other wines if you would like. Check the calendar for the scheduled paintings for certain dates and times, and unleash your artistic side! 

De Azúcar imports quality ingredients from all over the world. From savory sandwiches to sweet pastries and desserts, they serve it all. De Azúcar also hosts baking classes for those who are just as passionate as the owner is about pastries. As if that wasn't enough, this coffeehouse offers breakfast, lunch, and dessert catering.

District Eat and Play is a family friendly arcade with so much to offer, like special nightly events including karaoke, trivia, bingo, and more. The Oviedo Mall is a small mall in the Orlando area that is a center for the local community. It has a Regal Cinemas movie theater, tons of fun activities for both adults and kids, and events of all kinds throughout the year.

The Oviedo Winter Springs chamber is an action-oriented organization dedicated to serving the needs of the businesses within the Oviedo and Winter Springs communities. 

Penguin Point Productions is a theatre company offering a variety of classes in acting, voice, writing, and more for people of all ages interested in theatrical performance. There are ongoing classes and summer classes open for enrollment, and there are shows and events put on for all to attend.
