City of Parkland, Florida

Known as an affluent city, there are specific laws set in place to protect the “parklike” character of the city. Up until 2000, there were no stoplights in Parkland. They encourage city-wide recreation and provide an immense number activities for community members of all ages and interests.

Barkland Dog Park is a beautiful park that is a little over 2 acres with separate areas for big and smaller dogs. This park features covered pavilions and a dog washing station.

Board and Brush is a wood sign studio offering a variety of workshops to create "on-trend, farmhouse-classic, inspirational pieces of décor". While they focus on wood sign workshops, they also offer a variety of materials including glass, chalkboard, canvas pillows, slate, and terra cotta pots. Board and Brush is perfect for a girls' night out, a cute date night, a birthday party or private event, or a new family night! Offerings and designs are always changing, which means you can go back again and again! No experience is needed to attend one of their classes--their staff will provide you with all the tools needed and teach you how to use them as well.
