City of Sanford, Florida

Sanford is known as the "Historic Waterfront Gateway City" and sits on the southern shore of Lake Monroe. It is home to Seminole State College of Florida and the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, as well as Orlando-Sanford International Airport, which provides an alternative to those who prefer not to fly directly into the busy pace of Orlando. It attracts tourists with its charming character, culture, and multitude of trails. Of course, like any old town, it has more than a few ghost stories, including the ghostly hitchhikers who are said to appear near a patch of I-4 that was paved over 4 graves.
