City of St. Petersburg, Florida

The city is often referred to by locals as St. Pete, and neighboring St. Pete Beach residents voted to formally abbreviate its name in 1994. The share St. Pete Beach’s average of some 361 days of sunshine each year, but St. Petersburg holds the Guinness World Record for logging the most consecutive days of sunshine (768 days). It is nicknamed "The Sunshine City" and is a popular retirement destination in addition to its draw to general vacationers.

The Pier Aquarium is a private aquarium and marine education science center located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida at The Pier on the waterfront. Features hands-on activities including a fresh fish theater, touch tank experience and more. 

Tropicana Field is home to the Tampa Bay Rays MLB team. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the stadium also hosts college football. This domed stadium is the only non-retractable Major League Baseball stadium and is the smallest by seating capacity.
