Vamo is a city located in Sarasota County, Florida. It is part of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice Metropolitan Area. The name “Vamo” originated from the acronyms of the home states of Mr. and Mrs. Webb, who founded the city. Mrs. Webb was born in Virginia and Mr. Webb was born in Missouri. This area is more famously known for its Spanish style homes. Spanish influence has been infused in almost every part of Vamo, from the architecture of homes to street names.
