There are nearly 500 native species and dozens of exotic plants and animals in Florida. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Foundation helps to protect the wildlife in Florida and keeps the world informed of populations and species. The animals that are most commonly spotted by Floridians include: otters, opossums, manatees, fox squirrels, raccoons, white-tailed deer, key deer, armadillos, and alligators while rarely seen is the Florida Bobcat.
