Pasco County

Pasco County is located in Central West Florida north of Tampa Bay bordering the Gulf of Mexico and Hernando, Sumter, Polk, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. 

Pasco County was established in 1887 from a portion of Hernando County and named for Samuel Pasco of Monticello, speaker of the Florida House of Representatives at the time the county was created and later a U.S. Senator.

Pasco County School District is headquartered in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. As of recent, there are 84 public schools located in the county, including 4 educational centers, 1 eschool and 6 charter schools.

The Pasco County Library System has 8 branches, 2 in Holiday, 2 in Zephyrhills, and 1 each in Hudson, Dade City, Land O'Lakes, and New Port Richey.

Pasco County has 22 active parks, 13 passive parks, 3 recreation complexes, 5 community centers, 2 swimming pools, 4,600 acres of environmentally sensitive land, and 15,000 acres of land dedicated to parks, trails, and open space. 121 recreational programs and 49 yearly events are also available all year round for those who want to get out and participate in its offerings.

Saddlebrook Preparatory is an independent school grades 3-12, situated on the grounds of Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, approximately 12 miles north of Tampa. Offers a low student / teacher ratio in a multi-culture environment with boarding facilities where all students are enrolled in either the Saddlebrook Tennis Program or the Saddlebrook Golf Academy

Saint Leo University is a Roman Catholic liberal arts college in Saint Leo, Florida. It is home to about 2,000 on campus students as well as over 10,000 distance learning students and students studying at one of its 40 education centers. The main campus offers programs in Arts & Sciences, Business, and Education & Social Services. It is the oldest Catholic college in Florida, founded in 1889.

Trinity College is an interdenominational Christian college in New Port Richey, Florida. Every student at Trinity college majors in Bible and Theology as well as a second major, in liberal arts or theology, of their choice.

Bay Area Christian Homeschoolers (BACH) is a not for profit, volunteer, non-denominational Christian support group for homeschooling families mainly in Hillsborough and Pasco counties. We are Christian-based but not Christian-exclusive. Our purpose is to encourage our member families in their homeschooling efforts by providing fellowship, information, socialization and support. 
 

Nature Coast LIFE is an inclusive homeschooling group for Hernando, Pasco,and Citrus County, Florida (Nature Coast). All are welcome regardless of race, religion(or lack of), lifestyle, or educational philosophy. We believe there are as many different ways of homeschooling as there are homeschoolers.... That we all want the best for our children,that regardless of the path we chose we are richer for the company of each other on the Journey.

We are an open-minded homeschool group for the New Tampa and East Pasco Florida area. We mostly discuss homeschooling but are open to other topics that you might discuss amongst friends. 

This is an all-inclusive group for all ages of homeschoolers in the Trinity (and surrounding areas) of Pasco County, Florida. We can get support from one another.
