This beautiful stretch of land from Mississippi to Santa Rosa Island is Florida coastland in it's natural state at it's best. Clear emerald water, sugary white soft sand with un-touched sand dunes and natural habitats for wildlife. 

 

Hurlburt Field is a part of the greater Eglin Air Force Base reservation. Located in the Florida Panhandle in Okaloosa County, it is the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), the 1st Special Operations Wing (1 SOW), and the Air Force Special Operations School (USAFSOS).

NAS Pensacola Corry Station is a sub-installation of nearby Naval Air Station Pensacola. It’s primarily used to train military personnel in the Information Warfare Corps. The military station is located near the city of Pensacola, Florida, on Florida’s Emerald Coast. 

Located a short distance from the Alabama-Florida border and a 20-minute ride east to the City of Pensacola, Naval Air Station Pensacola lies a short 25-minute drive from the cities of Mobile, Alabama, Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana. The base and the attractions nearby make this a great place to be stationed at and a fantastic travel destination.

NAS Whiting Field is a U.S. Navy base in the town of Milton, Florida. Consisting of two separate airfields, one for training fixed wing aviators and the other for training rotary wing aviators, they are joined together by a common support area. Most future Navy aviators train at NAS Whiting Field as they pursue becoming fully qualified pilots. The NAS Whiting Field website states its mission is “to produce the military’s best trained Aviation Warfighter.”

Naval Hospital Pensacola is a U.S. Navy hospital located near the City of Pensacola, Florida, the westernmost city in the Florida Panhandle. Older than 26 U.S. states, it is in its second century of service and is one of the oldest and most respected military medical facilities in the country. It’s website states “It continues to provide health care to over 150,000 beneficiaries in its main facility and 10 branch clinics in 5 states.”

Perdido Key State Park is a popular destination for swimmers in Florida. The white sand beaches and dunes covered with sea oats give it a gorgeous sight. The beaches can be accessed through the boardwalks from the parking lot, allowing for the preservation of the delicate dunes and vegetation. There are picnic tables for families, and a collection of endangered and threatened species to view. Surf fishing is a must-try activity at Perdido Key. It is popular among the locals and all skill levels are welcomed.

Cordova Mall is the largest mall in the Pensacola area. It features all kinds of shopping with upscale clothing stores sharing space with a Best Buy and a Dick's Sporting Goods, among many other kinds of shops. You can find pretty much whatever you're looking for here.

University of West Florida opened it's doors in 1967 as an upper classmen university for Juniors and Seniors in Pensacola. Today more then 12,000 students attend UWF with undergraduate, graduate and targeted research programs.
